Conferences begin this week. I look forward to meeting with you all and setting some goals for the students. This means early dismissal for the next 2 weeks. In class we will continue to work with dividing with decimals. We are taking a break from Zearn this week and there will be a worksheet that has the concept from the day to practice. We are going to then take a survey to see which the students prefer. Just trying something new. Social Studies they will be learning about the 13 colonies and I'm trying out a hyperdoc for the time. Hope it works!! We are still reading Rules hoping to finish soon. There will be a test on Wordly Wise 7 on Friday. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

We are heading into the last couple of weeks before the trimester is over, so that means it's assessment time. This week the students will be taking the math and writing assessments. The next topic in math will be dividing with and without decimals. Please continue to support your child with Zearn at home, and have them practice their multiplication and division facts. In social studies, we started exploring some of the first settlements in the Unites States, and we will continue to explore more of them leading up to the 13 colonies. Friday is Halloween parade and party. The parade is at 8:30 and the party as at 1.
Last week we had our first Art Vistas presentation and project. Thank you Mrs. Martin and the Hans for helping with this. The kids loved it and they turned out wonderful! This week we will have a cornerstone presentation on Monday from Mrs. Berg and Mrs. Sizelove, and on Thursday the students will be making their first clay piece. In class this week the students will continue to work with multiplying large numbers and also adding in a decimal. Please practice math facts with your child if they do not know them. The students will also be starting a new narrative and we will continue reading Rules.
