We have quite a fun week ahead. Tuesday we have our first Art Vistas presentation, Wednesday we have clay and Thursday we have cornerstone. Thank you in advance to all the volunteers that will be working with the students this week. In math we will be taking the end of module test Tuesday and Wednesday. Social Studies, the students will be looking at explorers and their motives for exploration. Ria will be doing her current event on Friday.

This week in Language Arts we will be focusing on text structures in non-fiction. In storyworks, we will be reading an article about flooding, while using our text toolbox and looking for text structure. In writing, the students will be working on making their already written drafts more descriptive. There will be a social studies test on Thursday on Native American cultures. Math, we will be focusing in dividing with decimals, and their mid-module will be coming home Monday. On Monday we will have the opportunity to go to the makers space with Miss. Pugliese to create a plant that will survive in the Arctic. Cory has his current event.
This week in Language Arts the students will be learning about text structures, and be reading about a growth mindset. In math, we will be continuing with Module 1 adding and subtracting with decimals. In Social Studies, students will begin learning about Native Americans in different regions of the United States. Science we will continue our exploration of plants and their essential needs. Ethan and Shane have their current events due on Friday.
